What We Say Matters…

So happy to talk to you today! Good to be back with you. Last time we were together, I spoke about vision and how important to see clearly and precisely the direction you are choosing to pursue to get to your destiny. Have you done your vision board yet? Hopefully, it is up in a place you can see every day as a reminder of what is necessary to meet your goals. Make it simple, apply it, and see the results!

Not only is it necessary to see where you are heading but what are you saying about it? Words are important and very powerful indeed. With our words, we can bring unity and understanding to those that may not see eye to eye. Or we can divide people and tear them down merciless to manipulate and control the outcome. “Words kill, words give life; they either poison or fruit- you choose.” Proverbs 18:21 MSG

What motivates our words that come out of our mouths? When we look intentionally, we will find that out of the heart is the source that originates our words. Yet it is not only the words that causes the total impact. It goes beyond that. It is the real intentions and the spirit of the words that will determine the effect of the influence over the person. Regardless, the words will cause either a negative or positive result.

Choose today to speak the whole truth, honest and sincere words to yourself and to others. Evaluate your heart to make sure the motives are genuine. Avoid rationalizing and justifying when it is not according to God’s word. Every word spoken will be judge by God. First, speak life into your life, home, family, and circumstances. Secondly, do not speak ill about no one. Forgive those that have hurt you with harmful spiteful words. Ask for forgiveness for harsh words spoken to others. The intentional truthful words will cause an inner healing to occur within you. It will also produce healing to those that will hear those genuine words spoken over others. Starting today, choose to make a difference with your words!

“Keep vigilant watch over your heart; that’s where life starts. Don’t talk out of both sides of your mouth; avoid careless banter, white lies, and gossip. Keep your eyes straight ahead; ignore all sideshow distractions. Watch your step, and the road will stretch out smooth before you. Look neither right nor left; leave evil in the dust.” Proverbs 4:23-27 MSG
