Silence is Golden

Hello, my loyal readers! Today we are going to talk about the phrase, “Silence is golden.” This

statement was used by Thomas Carlyle, a German poet in his novel “The Tailor Retailored.” In the novel, it reads as “Speech is silver, silence is golden.” The meaning is that silence needs

authority of mind and a specific type of power; to keep silent is not easier than expressing

anger, love, happiness, and betrayal with words.

When you allow for silence to lead your focus internally, everything else will fade in the background. This is necessary to be able to evaluate everything that are distracting you in life. To have clarity of your future, spending time in silence will give you a keener perspective and increase of creativity. In a world of chaos and confusion, silence provides a shelter of calm and peace that will give you more patience.

At times, why is God silent in our lives? He is allowing you to pause your busyness and your hectic schedule to be able to have time to process your emotions. Although He is present, He is silent. When you practice solitude and silence, you allow your brain to process your deep feelings, rather than suppressing them and remaining in autopilot. As you uncover these rooted sentiments and thoughts, you will be able to heal and move forward with a greater understanding of you and your destiny.

“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavily burdened, and I will give you rest.”

Matthew 11:28
