Power of Forgiveness

Hello, loyal readers! Today, I want to speak about the power to forgive. Why talk about it? It will only bring up hurtful memories that you are trying to forget. If you don’t bring it up, it will be out of sight out of mind. Right? I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt, it will NOT!

It will eat you alive from the inside out. Please, don’t let it do that! It is that important to uncover your true feelings, be candid with yourself, and express your inner emotions. The toxicity of unforgiveness affects physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. “Forgiveness doesn’t excuse their behavior. Forgiveness prevents their behavior from destroying your heart.”

I am saying this not only to forgive others but to ask for forgiveness to those who you have hurt. You see, we have both good and bad in us. If we are sincere with ourselves, there has been times we have hurt other people with our words, actions, and attitudes. Are we willing to admit and be brave to ask for forgiveness? When you do, it will be liberating!

Letting go and permitting to be vulnerable is a sign of great strength. With it, you will receive an internal healing that will impact your whole being. You will have peace along with compassion for yourself and others. We are all human beings with many flaws and imperfections, it is a choice to give the gift of compassion. Let us start today!

“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” Ephesians 4:32

Peace, Love, Joy!
